There are a couple posibilities: It could be valve seals and guides that is allowing oil past the valve stems. It could be bad rings that are allowing oil past the pistons. It could be that the injectors are sticking causing some "wash down", picking up small amounts of oil that normally stick to the walls of the cylinder. Is oil fouling all cylinders? If not, it's probably more serious. Drive the vehicle around for a while to make sure it's thoroughly warmed up, then pull the sparkplugs, one at a time. Examine each plug to see if they're all oil fouled. Sometimes, if the engine was run briefly you'll get a little gasoline on the plugs, and that can certainly look like the plug is oil fouled.
