How do you open the trunk on a 1985 jaguar if the battery is disconnected?

open the bonnet (hood) and look for the fuse box on the right (as you sit in the car). Just in front there is a small unit that looks like a solenoid. remove the small rubber cap which exposes a nut. Connect e positive power supply to the nut and then a negative to earth. Your electric locking will now work on the keyfob.
