While the requirements will vary from state to state, the person seeking to write the summary will be required to swear under oath to any of several topics. The summary will include either an answer that discusses the evidence which is to be discovered, an exercise of the party's options in order to produce information, or an objection to the interrogatory. The identity of the responding party, the identity of the propounding party, and the set number appear beneath the title in the first paragraph. Each answer must contain the identifying number, and follow the correct sequence.
