For the Daytime Wheel of Fortune show Chuck Woolery started out hosting the show (1975-1981) with Susan Stafford (1975-1982) When Chuck Woolery left in 1981 Pat Sajak became the new host (1981-1989) Susan Stafford left the show in 1982 and substitute letter turners Summer Bartholmew and Vicki McCarthy preformed the role until Vanna White was made Susan Stafford's permanent replacement starting on December 13 1982 and Vanna White continued with this role until the show was cancelled in 1991. Rolf Benirschke replaced Pat Sajak until NBC left the show in 1989. Bob Goen hosted the Daytime Wheel of Fortune show for CBS in 1989 and continued until it's cancellation in 1991. Chuck Woolery hosted an early pilot of the show called Shoppers Bazaar in late 1973 and Ed Bymes hosted two Pilots of Wheel of Fortune in 1974. The nighttime syndicated Wheel of Fortune has been hosted by Pat Sajak and Vanna White since it's debut on September 19 1983 and is now finishing it's 26 th season.
