Box 12 on a W-2 form contains information that is usually relavent
to your tax return. Included in this box are pre-tax
insurance plan payments, cafeteria plans, pre-tax
funds placed into 401K, 403b, and such tax deferred plans, housing allowances for clergy or military personnel, third party sick pay, and many other items that may qualify to be in this Box. Contact your personnel office or tax preparer for an explanation of items on your W-2.
