I don't know, but I think you don't put your real name on your books when your an author because I heard someone say that if you do, someone will steal your identity. Ill ask someone when I am a beginner author so I'm sure no one can steal my identity, and Ill tell you the answer so if you wonder you' ll know.

Maybe you are talking about labeling the books you possess ("This book is the property of ______________"). If that is the case, then I would think you would put your real name.

Maybe you mean you write a book and get it published with either your real name or a pseudonym. Some authors do it one way, some do it the other way. Some writers use a pseudonym when writing in one style and their real name when writing another style--novels versus scholarly articles, for example.
