What was the main purpose of Aphrodite?

Aphrodite made people fall in love. Her job was to make people fall in love and that's all she ever did. Her work was her pleasure and no one expected mor of her. she was also one of the most beatiful gods but then the real question is why did she marry the ugliest god?? The answer is we don't now she may hve just been misunderstood.
