Is a maytag mah3000aww the same as a maytag mah4000aww?

They are close... Some differences that come to mind are the machine control boards. The MAH3000 had two control boards issued and you have to know the serial number to get the correct replacement board. 2. The door boot had a drain installed on the MAH4000 to allow the water to drain into the outer tub. There is a drain hose kit so you can retrofit the mAH3000's to have the drain to help prevent mold growth. 3. The MAH3000 has wax motors that control the bleach and softener flow where as the MAH4000 integrated these solenoids in with the water valve assembly.
