What is backlight bleeding?

Backlight bleeding refers to a display issue where light leaks around the edges or corners of a screen, particularly in dark scenes or images. This phenomenon occurs when the backlight of an LCD screen isn't uniformly distributed, causing bright spots or patches that can be distracting. It is most noticeable on screens with high contrast, and while it can be a manufacturing defect, some level of backlight bleeding is common in many displays.
