Standing at the front of the car, with the hood open it is behind the water hose that contains the raidator cap.Follow the hose to the motor.There are two(2)bolts one above and one below the thermostat housing.Remove these bolts and the thermostat is located inside the housing . Remove the old thermostat.Clean the housing and the side of the motor the housing attaches to.Insert new thermostat in the hose housing and apply gasket .reinsert the upper and lower bolts.tighten snug.Don't over tighten. crank car and let it heat up to check for leaks.If none you're done.If leaks tighten bolts a little more .Before STARTING LET THE PRESSURE OFF OF THE RADIATOR BY REMOVING RADIATOR CAP.MAKE SURE THE NEW THERMOSTAT IS INSERTED CORRECTLY IN THE HOSE END HOUSING. LOOK AT OLD THERMOSTAT WHEN REMOVING IT TO SEE HOW IT IS PLACED IN HOUSING .PLACE NEW ONE THE SAME WAY OLD ONE IS PLACED IN HOUSING. Be sure you have a 50-50 % of antifreze and water mixture to replace that which is lost changing the thermostat. The autozone repair guides have some pretty good pictures.
