Phineas C. Lounsbury (born January 10, 1841 in Ridgefield, Connecticut; died June 22, 1925 in Ridgefield, Connecticut) succeeded Henry B. Harrison as the thirty-eighth Governor of Connecticut, serving beteen January 7, 1887 and January 10, 1889. Following the end of Lounsbury's term as Governor, Morgan G. Bulkeley (born December 26, 1837 in East Haddam, Connecticut; died November 6, 1922 in Hartford, Connecticut) became the thirty-ninth Governor of Connecticut, serving between January 10, 1889 and January 4, 1893.
