Are wolves native to Connecticut

Native to, yes, still there, probably not.. While there have been reported sightings through the years, no FIRM evidence has been provided, even my sighting almost 20 years ago in the north western part of the state near New York was probably a fluke occurance and possibly not a wolf but some other domesticated breed or hybrid who escaped and turned wild..
