Why is it important to use more than one way to find a job?

As the economy becomes more unstable, searching for a job becomes inevitably more complex due to the fact that many people are looking for jobs. With increased competition in the work force, simply turning a job application in to a workplace that already has hundreds or even thousands of applications on file is no way to secure employment. To better your chances, first ask yourself who you know. If you can find a connection who has ties to your desired place of employment, you can use this person to help get you noticed. You must also speak to the manager; this is your very limited time to show how perfect you are, so make sure your shoes are tied and your hair is brushed nicely. Lastly, do not limit yourself in only applying to one place. You might have to apply to 20 places before you land one job, but that one job will be just as valuable as the 19 others that you applied for.
