What are some good house pets that are not cats dogs fish reptiles or birds?

---- hampster?? spider?? mouse?? ferrit?? gerbil?? there are probably more but i cant think of them some of the pets i metioned will have to go outside sometimes. ---- (From asker): thanks. i needed some pet ideas that weren't really the "normal" type thing. all of those are good ideas- except for the spider, i hate those, but it was still a good idea. thanks for the help
