How do you open a VW bonnet?

To open a VW bonnet, first locate the interior release lever, usually found on the driver's side near the door or under the dashboard. Pull the lever to release the initial catch. Next, move to the front of the vehicle, feel for the secondary latch under the center of the bonnet, and lift it while gently raising the bonnet. Finally, secure the bonnet with the prop rod if applicable.
