The AAA (Agricultural Adjustment Administration) was a New Deal agency aimed at boosting agricultural prices by controlling production. The CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) provided jobs in environmental conservation for young men during the Great Depression. The NRA (National Recovery Administration) sought to stimulate industrial growth and improve labor conditions through fair competition codes. Other agencies include the NLRB (National Labor Relations Board), which protects workers' rights; FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation), which insures bank deposits; TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority), which developed the Tennessee Valley region; NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission), overseeing nuclear energy safety; and WPA (Works Progress Administration), which created jobs through public works projects.
