Can guys try on girls clothes in the shop?

If the girls clothes look like something a guy can wear (like a sweatshirt or sneakers). Truly no a guy cannot try on girls clothes inside the shop in the united states. Due to the different body parts...I'm sure a guy could if there was no check in before going into the dressing room, but he would probably get kicked out of the store if he came out and if there wasn't a dressing room person.
