Can methylated spirits clean a car fuel line and remove a noise from fuel pump?

metholated spirits is a WOOD ALCHOL,it will absorb WATERand is ideal to remove moisture from fuel systems if not overused,ie a pint in the tank eg but there are good AFTER MARKET PRODUCTS to clean fuel systems particularly good for fuel injector systems, but if injectors have not been occaisionally treated then they may need removing to service properly g.d.
