暑い (atsui) would mean "Hot" as in temperature. For example, 天気が暑いね (tenki ga atsui ne) would mean "It's pretty hot out today isn't it?". There's also 熱い (atsui) which is also used for saying something is hot, though it is generally associated with different things than 暑い. For example, 熱いシャワーを浴びる (atsui shawaa wo abiru) means "To take a hot shower". Finally, there is 辛い (tsurai) to say if something is spicy or peppery. For example, 辛いスープ (tsurai suupu) would mean "spicy/hot soup".
