When is the best time to put a female dog with a male dog to mate?

In my experience, there are several things to consider when thinking of breeding dogs. First, the dogs should be at least one year of age, healthy and well adjusted. Second, be sure the dogs are not related to each other. Third, keep the dogs safety in mind when breeding, be careful that they do not injure each other. And lastly, be sure the female is ready, if she fights the male she is not ready.
