How do you get a tv show off your iPod without deleting it?

Actually you need a third party application to do this. There are many out there, but the best I would recommend are: XPort (Mac) and CopyTrans (PC). They will protect your iPod's data base while copying songs, videos, podcasts, etc to iTunes or your PC.
