If the bases have sides of length a, b and c units and the length of the prism is d units thenlateral area = (a+b+c)*d

area of base = sqrt{s*(s-a)*(s-b*(s-c)} where s = (a+b+c)/2


Then total surface area = lateral area + 2*area of base.
