What nutrients do animals need?

Every animal has a very different set of nutrients it needs to survive. Some animals survive entirely off of meat, some off of grass and some off fish. Each diet is special for each different species and there is not just one set of nutrients that applies to all animals. If you have a certain animal in mind, try researching it and seeing what its diet is like to find out exactly what nutrients it needs.

The primary nutrients that animals need are carbohydrates, proteins, lipids (fats), and vitamins.
