What are the contents of an MRE?

Every MRE meal bag comes with an average of 1250 calories(13% protein, 36% fat, and 51% carbohydrates). It provides one third of of the Military Recommended Daily Allowance of vitamins and minerals determined essential by the Surgeon General of the United States. The way MRE's are consumed could be eaten cold, heated in hot water, or warmed using the supplied flameless MRE heating device. MRE's can even be warmed on the engine of a HMMVW.
