Don't think so. Taurus PT-92 is based on machining for the Beretta 92SB, which was manufactured for the Brazilian Army (hence the plant that Taurus bought) The modifications since (Beretta making the 92F, Taurus going its own route) have altered the location of the magazine latch within the pistol, so the magazines will probably not line up.

Not strictly true. The Taurus 92 (first model) was exactly the same as the first model Beretta 92.....NOT the much later 92SB........other than the hooked trigger guard of the Taurus. The original Beretta 92 had a frame mounted safety a little like that on the 1911 45 auto. The magazine release was mounted down near the very bottom of the left grip. And these two pistols...the Beretta 92 and the Taurus 92...were fully interchangable including magazines. I know....I own examples of both guns.

The rest is basically correct.
