Can red eared sliders eat apples and grapes?

Yes, RES turtles will eat both bread and Apples. They also eat other fruits such as strawberries and melon. They should only be given these foods as treats as they need a staple turtle diet in order to remain healthy. They should be given a staple pellet such as Reptomin and supplemented with Turtle Bites, made of fruit and vegetable ingredients. They can also be given red leaf lettuce on a regular basis.
