How do replace fuel filter on a 1985 Lincoln Town Car?

You will need a simple inexpensive tool to disconnect the lines from the filter. Your local auto parts store will have the tools you need. Warning! The fuel system will be under pressure. Before disconnecting the fuel lines from the filter, remove the fuse and/or relay for the fuel pump, then try to start and run the engine until it runs out of fuel. The pressure will be greatly reduced when you disconnect the lines from the filter. Be prepared for some fuel loss. Replace the fuse and/or relay only after the filter is replaced and reconnected. Run engine and check for leaks.
