First, "data" can be anything we wish to study. For examples, these are "data":
- How many people visit a web page
- How many people visit a web site
- How many people click on an Ad and where was the ad on the web page
- Observing how many people use a crosswalk or just jaywalk
- Interviewing people who jaywalk to learn how they view crosswalks
- Interviewing people about how they use software
- Collecting Blog Comments to see how the public reacts to a topic
- Collecting Facebook Comments to see how the public views a presidential candidate
- Collecting historical data about migrations into a country
- Reviewing poetry from 1700s to study changes in language from 1700 to 1800
ANYTHING can become data!
