The Tasmanian tiger, or thylacine, was a carnivorous marsupial that hunted primarily at dusk and dawn. It relied on its keen senses of sight and hearing to locate prey, which included small to medium-sized mammals, birds, and reptiles. The thylacine employed a combination of stealth and endurance, using a slow, stalking approach to get close to its target before pouncing. Its distinctive elongated jaws allowed it to grip and hold onto its prey effectively.
