Who do us attorneys report to?

U.S. attorneys report to the Attorney General of the United States, who is the head of the Department of Justice. Additionally, they operate under the supervision of the Deputy Attorney General and other senior officials within the Department. Each U.S. attorney also serves at the discretion of the President, who appoints them.
