What causes subcutaneous bleeding?

Subcutaneous bleeding, also known as a bruise, occurs when small blood vessels under the skin break, allowing blood to leak into the surrounding tissue. This can result from trauma, such as bumps or falls, but can also be caused by certain medical conditions, medications that affect blood clotting, or blood vessel abnormalities.
