Circumference is the measure of the distance around the circle. To find the radius of a circle, you must understand how to get the circumference from the radius.
The circumference of a circle can be expressed as C=(Pi)D where C is circumference, Pi is the mathematical constant pi, and D is diameter of a circle.
The first thing you have to do, is find out what Pi, and D are.
We will use the value 3.14 for pi, so we have 25.12 = 3.14(D). You can isolate D by dividing both sides of the equation by 3.14.
25.12 = 3.14(D)
25.12/3.14 = D
8 = D
Now we have the diameter of the circle. Finding the radius from the diameter is simple, you divide by 2.
D = 2r
8 = 2r
8/2 = r
4 = r
The radius of the circle is four.
