Is the square root of 6 rational or irrational?

sqrt(6) = sqrt(2 x 3) = sqrt(2) X sqrt(3)

Since '2' & '3' are prime numbers, their square roots are Irrational.

Hence

sqrt(2) X sqrt(3) = 1.4142... X 1.73205.... = 2.449489743... Is also irrational.
