What supplies do you need to become a veterinarian?

There aren't many items you need to buy personally to become a veterinarian. You'll need to get a good quality stethoscope (expect to pay several hundred dollars), a digital fast-read thermometer (the cheap ones at your local drug store are fine) and clothing such as surgical scrubs and lab coats. Other than that, everything else will be provided by the school, ranging from needles and syringes to radiograph machines.
