How where the fates born?

In Greek mythology, the Fates, known as the Moirai, were born from the primordial deities Nyx (Night) and Erebus (Darkness) or, in some accounts, from Zeus and Themis. They are often depicted as three sisters: Clotho, who spins the thread of life; Lachesis, who measures its length; and Atropos, who cuts the thread, determining the moment of death. Their role symbolizes the inescapable destiny that governs both gods and humans, highlighting the belief in fate's ultimate authority over life.
