Why does my kitten seem to be sleeping all day?

Kittens sleep a lot because they are growing and developing rapidly. They need plenty of rest to recharge their energy and support their physical and mental development. It is normal for kittens to sleep up to 20 hours a day, so there is no need to worry unless they show other signs of illness or distress.
