What is causing a gradual accumulation of gasoline in the crankcase oil in my 45 hp Honda 4-stroke outboard engine - All cylinders have good compression - Is the fuel pump ass'y the problem?

Some say it might be the incorrect thermostat. The engine is running too cool, the rings don't expand and fuel is sneaking past. Another theory is leaky injectors and the fuel is dripping past the rings when the engine is off. Good luck.
