Where is the water pump on a 1999 oldmobile alero?

The water pump is in the front of the motor .on the right side when looking at engine...there is a black cover on the top of it...that is the waterpum

Wrong... it is on passenger side w/ pulley (cover looking) attached. Be sure it is lined up correctly, vertically w/ tab @ 12 o'clock...
