They are behind the clutch basket. the problem is not replacing them ,it is finding them,no one sells them that i know of,if you can find another used one you would then have to remove the old magnets then ruff the surface so a bond would more easily stick to the surface ,use a 2 part epoxy spread on the back side of each magnet being replaced and place each magnet bumped up to each other,carefully to make sure they are placed the same distance from the lip of the hub as the originals so they travel over the stater as they should and let set as per directions until completely dry ,then replace the hub and free-spin the hub to make sure the magnets will all clear the stater ,gary
