Everything that Jehovah's Witnesses do after someone dies is to comfort grieving family and friends. We do whatever is necessary to conform to local laws for handling of the body of the deceased. There are no ceremonial rites of any kind.
Usually, there will be a talk given at the Kingdom Hall that is open to the public tat explains The Bible's hope of a ressurection that Jesus taught. Sometimes this talk is done at graveside instead of the Kingdom Hall. There also may be a viewing of the body, or there may be a cremation. This will be according to te decision of the family members.
According to the Bible, those who have died are "conscious of nothing at all."(Ecclesiastes 9:5,10) Their future life hope is now in the hands of God. (John 5:28,29)
Answer2: In addition to the above comment, sometimes there may be a Repast or Repass after the Bible based talk. The Repass is where family and friends gather, usually with refreshments and share fond memories and encouragement.
