What is a Heterodontosaurus?

Heterodontosaurus is a genus of herbivorous dinosaur that lived during the Early Jurassic period, approximately 200 million years ago. It is notable for its distinctive dental structure, featuring a combination of different types of teeth, including sharp ones for cutting and flat ones for grinding, which suggests a varied diet. This small dinosaur, measuring about 1.5 meters (5 feet) in length, had a beak-like mouth and likely exhibited some form of social behavior. Fossils of Heterodontosaurus have been primarily found in South Africa.
