Western hemlock only grows in two very small pockets in Alberta (near Banff and near Waterton Lakes). If you want an easier job finding them you should look go to BC and look in the Interior Wet Belt (Columbia Mountains), or the Pacific Coast. Isolated pockets grow in the plateau between. Theyre not hard to find, note the drooping top and tiny cones.
