What does it mean if a girl asks you about your ex girlfriends?

well im a girl and if i ask a boy about his ex girlfriends is maybe because girls would be interested in things you like or dont like. (it depends if the girl is ur girlfriend, cause if she is then she wants to know what she can do or cannot do so you will still like her)
