Why is your zune software not connecting to your zune?

I tried the following:

1. uninstall zune software, rebooted, reinstalled with latest download. Didn't work.

2. did a reset (back arrow and up on the center pad and hold for 5 seconds)... Didn't work

3. did a firmware reset (repeat #2 and when you see it go blank, immediately press all three buttons. (This still didn't work!). I was getting frustrated now as I was now in a locked firmware update and it could not talk to the software to get the latest firmware arrghhhg!!!

4. Re-installed drivers (deleted scanned for new hardware, reinstalled drivers) rebooted.... Still nothing......

5. Read about 50 forums with a lot of people having the same problem....

FINALLY, I took the advice of this one recommendation... It seemed too simple to be true... But at this point I would have tried to stand on my head if I thought it would work. (The next step would have been to use it for target practice with my 30-06).

Plug it into a NON HUB USB (The back of your computer instead of the front). Low and behold... Shazamm!! Worked like a charm! I felt like an idiot but I am posting so we have fewer idiots in the world. :-) Thanks Microsoft. I wish I could submit a bill to Microsoft because between this and ME... I would make a million. By the way,,, My iPod works great in the front hub USB port...... Good Day!
