To remove the factory radio from a 2003 GMC Savana, start by disconnecting the negative battery cable to prevent any electrical issues. Then, use a flathead screwdriver or a trim removal tool to carefully pry off the dashboard trim surrounding the radio. Once the trim is removed, unscrew the screws securing the radio in place, pull the radio out gently, and disconnect the wiring harness and antenna cable from the back. Reinstall in reverse order once you're ready to put in a new radio.
