Where is the fuse panel for a 04 Ford Taurus?

On a 2004 Ford Taurus :

The fuse panel is to the left and below of the steering wheel , by the brake

pedal ( it has a cover on it ) and the Power Distribution Box ( which is " live " )

is located at the front of the engine compartment near the battery
