Excel is a spreadsheet program, and PowerPoint is a program for making slide shows.
Power Point:
- A multimedia maker
- Generally used to make slide shows
- Also capable of making "mini games"
- You can import pictures and text into it
- You can use different formats and functions
Exel:
- A data base creator
- Generally used to make lists and address books
- Also capable of mail mergeing
- You can import pictures and text into it
- You can use mostly tables
So as you can see they are mostly different, I myself prefer PowerPoint in most projects though!!!
