I too have been unable to find a good source of "combination cooking" primers on the web. I have been experimenting with cooking times but feel that I have the procedure down pat on my Convection Microwave oven.
On my un it, I press the "combination" button and it asks for "convection temperature". I set the temp by turning the "set" button right or left. Once it shows the correct temperature, I press the button straight in.
If I immediately press it again, it goes into "Preheat" mode. The led screen shows "preheat" and the oven begins to warm up.
If I turn it right or left first, it will let me set the cooking time. Once it shows the correct cooking time, I press the button straight in. It then starts combination cooking.
If preheating, it will beep once it reaches the correct temp and will then hold that temperature for about 5 min. I can then open the door and place the food inside, then upon closing the door, I turn it right or left to set the cooking time. Once it shows the correct cooking time, I press the button straight in. It then starts combination cooking.
I just finished cooking brownies which called for 325° for 45min. Under Combo it baked in 15min.
