What is the difference between oil based varnish and oil based satin varnish?

Matt paint will give a room a chalky look. It hides imperfections and is easy to touch up. It is not easy to clean though. This finish is better for ceilings. Gloss paint gives a lacquered look. It is the most durable and easy to clean.
