How do you help your kitten get attached to you?

This is probably more your kitten's choice than yours; cats are very independent even if they are cuddly bundles of love when young. The saying is that dogs have owners; cats have staff. But if you care for it, feed it properly and play with it a lot, spend time with it and learn to read when it wants to be left alone, your cat will be friends with you for its life. Best friends?
